Ford Motorsport

Ford has a rich and colourful motor sport heritage, marked by the legendary Ford GT40's wins at Le Mans in 1966, 1967 and 1968. The era of the GT40 was a celebration of technical and design excellence, as well as the guts, strength and perseverance that have been the driving force behind the Ford Motor Company.

In 2002, to mark the 100th Anniversary of the company, the new Ford GT was unveiled as a reinterpretation of the classic racer.

Today, Ford is actively involved in the FIA World Rally Championship, Formula Ford in the UK and the Fiesta ST Cup in Germany. Involvement in motor sport is an opportunity for Ford to showcase the technology talent that exists within the company in a way that engages both staff and public, getting them excited about the company and its products.
