Driving home a bargain
It seems that nothing can stop value- conscious buyers from grabbing their great deals. On the night of 5 December 2009, an overwhelming crowd om around 200 cars turned up at the Ford showroom despite a torrential downpour. Their reason for being there? The Ford Late night Sale.
It may have been cold outside but the inside the showroom, customers felt nothing but warmth - from the merry Christmas decoration, lively atmosphere, friendly staff and, of course, great prices on great cars.
A first for Ford, the night sale event saw an endless stream of visitors in the showroom. All models were sold at special prices, at discounts of up to $15,000. Given that Ford's continental cars were already competitive versus Japanese cars due to recent exchange rates, the discount made one thing plainly obvious - at such prices, Fords are a steal.
So it was no wonder that buyer response was very positive.
Yet a new German-engineered car was not the only early Christmas gift the visitors enjoyed that night. they also each received a complimentary 5-point check and a free car wash to spruce up their own cars for the festive season. To make sure that the sheen stays, Quick Lane staff were also present to educate them on the importance of regular car servicing and maintenance.
After the main event, guests were treated to a sumptuous spread of local hawker fare. Their kids received hundreds of balloons. The grown-ups were not left out - they enjoyed a go at the instant-dip, with attractive gifts for all walk-ins.
Last but not least, Ford also worked witht he Singapore Children's Society to collect donations from the visitors, who received Ford premiums for thier kindness.
Congratulations to all buyers. For you have kicked off the festivities with a most wonderful gift - a shiny new Ford at home.
