HELPING THE HOMELESS IN HAITI & DETROIT
Thousands of miles apart and struggling to survive in one of the world's richest countries or one of the poorest, homeless people share a similar need for the basics in personal and medical care. Recognising this, the Ford Volunteer Corps teamed up with World Medical Relief to provide assistance to people in both areas as part of a Ford Acceleration Day. the teams assembled personal hygiene kits for homeless people in South Eastern Michigan and packed medical supplies for earthquake victims in Haiti.
DELIVERING MORE PERFORMANCE AND LOWERING CARBON DIOXIDE
Ford's European product range is undergoing a transformation in its powertrain line-up in 2010, with the introduction of new generations of highly efficient petrol and diesel engines. These new powertrains not only deliver improved, high-torque performance, but they also provide significant reductions in fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions as compared to previous generation engines.

With a 51% sales jump in Canada, Ford marked nine consecutive months of retail sales again. This also saw record-breaking sales for several vehicles across the line-up, which includes the Ford Fusion. Confident that the new Ford line-up will continue to deliver positive results throughout the year, David Mondragon, president and CEO of Ford Canada said, "We remain focused on what customers want and value and we're seeing those efforts pay off."
FORD EARNS FIFTH STAR AWARD
Ford's actions to reduce the amount of energy used to manufacture vehicles and support its U.S. operations have earned it the U.S. ENERGY STAR Award for the fifth consecutive year. This award recognises Ford's continued leadership and commitment to protecting the environment through energy efficiency.
BEST-EVER SALES FOR FOCUS AND MONDEO IN CHINA
In one of the typically slower months for china's auto industry, Changan Ford Sales Company reported strong February sales of 18,193 Ford passenger vehicles, marking a 37.5% increase over the same period last year. The solid monthly sales performance also pushed the company's year-over-year growth to 13 consecutive months.
2011 FORD FIESTA TO PROMOTE 'IF I CAN DREAM' SERIES
Ford's new small car is on its way to stardom, as it has already started to support five aspiring young artists promoting Simon Fuller's new reality show "If I Can Dream", which follow the artists as they move to Hollywood Hills looking for their big break. The Fiesta serves as the "sixth bedroom" of the show - it's the artists' primary way of transportation, and it is outfitted with 3 cameras so they can talk about their experiences through live streaming.
