Ford shines in the sales race

The increasing popularity of Ford vehicles is driving a strong demand and that has made Ford one of the only few manufacturers to post back-to-back sales increases.
Having cold 152,600 cars in its 19 main European markets in September 2009, this surge in sales has firmly established Ford as Europe's second best-selling new vehicle brand in Europe. With the freshest line-up of new products in the industry, Ford's leadership in quality, fuel efficiency, safety and technology resonates well with consumers and the sales figures are living proof.
As one of the leading compact cars, the Ford Focus sold a total of 25,547 vehicles while the Ford Fiesta became United Kingdom's (UK) top selling car for 3 months in a row, selling 51,400 vehicles in total. Despite the UK market being over 30 per cent down on a year ago, new Fiesta sales drove Ford's market share to 10.1% - the highest share for any month since September 2001. And more good news to follow when Ford Fiesta was announced as WhatCar? Car of the Year 2009 in UK.
This progress certainly marks Ford's commitment to delivering even more products that customers truly want and value.
